Teams Updates: Intelligent Chat Notifications

Updates is a Microsoft Teams app which allows you to create, submit, and review employee updates, surveys and work reports all in one place. These updates can be recurring updates which happen on a regular basis or in-the-moment updates which can happen at any time based on the need. By default each update needs to be individually reviewed to identify whether it contains any issues. The Power Automate flow included within this course alerts us via a Teams group chat to any problems or issues reported in an update whilst ignoring any updates where problems were not identified. The benefit of this flow is that it allows reviewers to focus promptly on the most pressing issues and can give easy oversight of reported issues to a manager simply through membership of the group chat. This course provides you with a Power Automate flow to install in your Microsoft 365 environment that will identify any submitted update that contains an issue and, if there’s a problem, post details of the issue(s) to a group chat. The course also provides a comprehensive video walkthrough of the rationale behind the flow and details exactly how the flow works, including explanations of the actions and functions used, so you can fully understand the process and adapt it should you wish.
